Chapter CV. God and the Messiah Dwell with Man

1.In those days the Lord bade (them) to summon and testify to the children of earth concerning their wisdom: Show (it) unto them; for ye are their guides, and a recompense over the whole earth.

2.For I and My son will be united with them for ever in the paths of uprightness in their lives; and ye shall have peace: rejoice, ye children of uprightness. Amen.

Asked of Guide

Why does Enoch say ‘I and My son will be united with them’—who is ‘My son’ here?

Enoch presents God speaking: “I and My son will be united with them for ever,” which names a distinct companion to God who will dwell among righteous humans. The phrase frames a shared presence—God and His son—as the source of guidance and peace for “children of uprightness.”

This chapter treats the son as an active partner in divine fellowship rather than a distant savior; the son’s coming completes the promise of guidance and “recompense over the whole earth.” The Book of Revelation likewise pairs the Father and the Lamb dwelling with people (Revelation 21:3), using similar language about God’s intimate presence among the faithful.
