Chapter XLIX

1. The forty-ninth subject is this, that, when one gathers up a fire, it is requisite to leave it for a time, so that the ash-bed (bûm) of the fire may become cold; afterwards, one is to take it up and carry it to the precinct of fire. 2. It is not proper that they carry the ash-bed (zamîn) of a hot fire to the precinct of fire; so far is notorious.
